Great piece!
As a middle school teacher, I thought this video was great for teaching since it wasn't too long, the narrators were young and the footage was well done. My students and I really enjoyed it!
Authentic, multi-age, and educational
This 30-minute English video explains all of the Mexican traditions from Dec 12 - Feb 2. Most of the time is spent on Posadas, but it isn't all about Posadas. The Spanish words included are written on the screen, and also their English translations. 3rd grade + can understand, best for middle and high school. NOTE: many of the traditions include the Biblical story of the birth of Jesus, so there is a lot of religious talk in the movie. This is normally fine because it is presented as Mexican legends rather than as spiritual truth, but be prepared for use in multi-ethnic environments.
General overview of Las Posadas
Produce was factually correct and visually pleasing. The hosts could have been stronger with more precise use of language and less use of "whatever".
